Blaine was diagnosed with brain cancer and had brain surgery almost 7 years ago to remove 90% of the cancer. This was followed by radiation and chemo a couple years later to further fight the cancer. Blaine made a miraculous recovery, and the cancer was in remission for almost four years. Then a small new growth appeared on his MRI in February 2007. In seven weeks this small amount grew nearly as big as his original brain tumor.

On March 29, 2007 Blaine had a second brain surgery. 95% of the tumor was removed. A couple days after the surgery the doctors announced that it was a Grade 4 Glioblastoma.

Blaine fought bravely for several months with all of his strength. He recently made the journey to Heaven on Saturday, November 17, 2007. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones still here on earth. Words cannot express the impact his life has made on many.
