REZ LIFE STUDENT MINISTRIES
Blaine started volunteering with Rez Life Student Ministries at U.M. Church of the Resurrection (www.cor.org) in December 2005. He became an Intern with them in August 2006 and worked until a week prior to his surgery on March 29, 2007. He was an incredible mentor to many youth and shined the light of Christ incredibly in his short time there. His job was to create sport cell groups for high school students (he successfully created an Ice Hockey Sports Cell Group which met monthly at a local ice skating rink), help lead student ministry teams (he created the Outreach Team, to welcome new students and become the “glue of Rez Life”), and he helped to run Wednesday and Sunday youth group. However, most important to him was relationally helping the students as well as volunteers and staff and simply being a listening ear. He also joked around quite a bit and lightened the mood WHENEVER he was around, making people laugh very often, many times to the point of hysterics.
The students and staff LOVED him and greatly miss him.
